Lights are Us

The Chill Out room at Ritter Butzke
I enter - and step into a huge living room. Not mine...ours. For the duration.
Set by a simple principle of "Do as you please, this is your space. And offer the people around you the same freedom".
The club community. No strings attached, and yet connected by a shared idea. Or even vision. I wonder how many of us manage to take the same principles with us home and further into our work.

The dj re-mixes, breaks down, breaks up, Steve Wonder when he just called to say I Love You - unevenly pitched with some strong digital noize, before hitting me with Autechre. I smile.

7-8 projectors, all from different time periods is streaming beautifully patterned visuals. The walls are covered in white sheets, the lighting is in-direct making the pictures projected seems like old 19th century photos, even though their content is of our age.
I stand up, bring out my mechanical eye while immersed in slow, deep electronic beats, and start shooting.

Many of visuals fade in and out, like a slow heart beat. A couple moves into my view - caressing each other, maneuvering the deep electronic beats. I see beauty - my mechanical eye needs upgrading.

Miss Mostly & Mr Symon

(The Journey Begins)

(And for that we need style...Look! No hands!)

(We are kool in the pool of Symon's shades)

(Zoom out...and we have a passenger)

("I know of a place you should visit - follow me")

(And what a place - filled with old vinyl! - yet inviting us into the digital world)

(And look what treasures lies about!)

(Time for Timeout - Lønstrup snaps)

(And shades off)

(Then we head to the beach of Mårup)

(And on the cliff there is an old church)

(Inside there is an alter next to a window)

(I look at the window)

(And move out - admiring the view, the ocean)

(And the eroding beach)

(Symon admires his surroundings too)

(Then we head off to the next location - where Denmark meets Persia)

(Symon enters the world of Alladin)

(What a strange Tower?)

(Standing erect!)

(Let's go inside!)

(And this is where we crawled out...to get in)

(So many stairs)

(Sand everywhere!)

(And small windows reminding us of the Beauty outside)

(We have climbed all the way to the top - the view is just breathtaking...)

(Like a excerpt from the World of Myst.../sigh)

Moving blog

Then it is time.
The blog must move on.
After a year on MySpace (blog.myspace.com/mistressmostly), which is basically OurSpace, I decided to move to this space - and make a virtual home here.
