(The work of the Bauhaus artist: Herbert Bayer)
So I am drawn to Bauhaus design. It is inspirational. It is Beauty.
And a couple of days ago I saw this.
Information design in our current infrastructure. The beauty of the design is captured in the angle and the composition, transforming the content/the information into something more. I see angled squares and circles playing around with font-types and colors. Sharp, erect and force-full.
Like Bauhaus?

I definitely see this influence in your photography work. Firstly by the fact that the angles used somehow have a precise quality to them, as though any other angle would not due and this angle exactly was specifically chosen. (But of course Mercury Taurus does innately, and deeply, love form)
Secondly, the recontextualization of the subject by placing it at disorienting angles, making the once familiar object 'other.' Thus, what the eye once dismissed as a coil of electrical wire, commonly seen and automatically filtered out by brains raised in the visual cacophony of our times, is seen anew, and is now a strange black intestinal tangle of purely alien design. (This surely is too long a sentence!)
The subject becomes pure form and capable of communicating something entirely different then the casually accepted and dismissed meaning of the everyday.
Yet it is familiar, and now we see it from a new perspective, see it for what it is, something different from what all our guards and filters are familiar with. We see its true nature, naked and blinding before us.
It is the sudden recognition of existence, it is finally looking into someones eyes and discovering you Love them. It is epiphany, and it gets us one step closer to God.
This is interesting, thanks for posting.
